In a former life, Miss Bellasis created extraordinarily indulgent chocolate cakes and thus she decided to utilise the skills learnt in that period to create the following delight. These decadent, ephemeral treats for tastebuds and tétons were inspired by Laura Esquivel 's Like Water for Chocolate - a tale of love, longing and cooking. We made them to order using fine dark chocolate, delicate rose water and a very subtle hint of smoky chilli. And to make sure they look as good as they taste, we dusted the rosebuds pink and gold.

To attach these Miss Bellasis recommended a delicious truffle mixture, the recipe for which was included with each pair (though we can't guarantee how long they stay on for)....

The chocolate we used varied, but was always of an eco friendly, fairly traded type.
